Q: How can I contact you personally and stay informed?A: My team is currently in the process of creating a new website for me. We are allowing those who already have accounts to continue posting/making comments. However, once the website is “scrapped” the forum will no longer be available. However, you can sign up for the “Lindsey Stirling Fan Club” here: http://www.lindseystirling.com/newsletter-sign-up/ so that you can receive announcements from me regarding new tour dates, new videos, music, etc. You can also contact me via Facebook http://www.facebook.com/lindseystirlingmusic?ref=ts&fref=ts or Twitter: https://twitter.com/LindseyStirling, although I can’t promise that I will be able to respond (I only have time to answer a few per day). Many of my fans have joined one of my Official [Country] pages on Facebook.

Q: How can I get an autograph?
A: I individually sign all of my posters. You can find them in my online store. I will sign a stack of them every couple of months and they will be available until they are sold out. I’ll “re-stock” them as soon as I can find time to sign another couple hundred posters. I can’t personalize them because I pre-sign them before I send them to my distributor. However, I would be happy to personalize something for you if you come to any of my “Meet and Greet” Events.

Q: Can I post pictures/video that I take of/with you online?
A: As long as the photos are clean and appropriate, I don’t mind at all! It helps to spread the Lindsey love! :) My management would rather that I don’t encourage people to post audio of my performances, however.

Q: Do you offer payment options for your VIP tickets other than credit cards?
A: Credit card is the only way to pay for VIP tickets. However, if you don’t own a credit card, you can purchase a gift card with a credit card logo on it (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc.) and use that to purchase ticket(s).
#6
Q: How can I get more information on booking you in my area?
A: Please contact my booking agent by filling out THIS form on my site.
#7
Q: Will you be performing in my area?
A: Please check under the “Tour” tab for dates and events. If details are not listed, it is because they are not yet available. Please know that I would love more than anything to perform for all of my fans all over the world! If you want to be the first to hear about my upcoming performances, please register on my website HERE to receive announcements and/or you can sign up for THIS FACEBOOK APP.

Q: Can I get backtracks to your music?
A: I don’t give those out…they are my babies! However, Hal Leonard has published a book of my covers, and background (karaoke-style) tracks are included as part of the “Play-Along” book HERE. I have also created a karaoke-style backing track for “Moon Trance,” “Crystallize,” “What Child Is This,” and “Celtic Carol.” I would like to provide tracks for many of my upcoming sheet music releases and for the music that I already offer. When we do this, I will provide these tracks to those who have already purchased the sheet music and, of course, include the tracks with any sheet music purchases made thereafter.

Q: I want to buy sheet music but I don’t play a string instrument. Can I have the music transposed for my instrument?
A: Absolutely! Send a copy of your receipt to my transcriber at contactlindseystirling@yahoo.com, specify how you would like the music to be transposed, and they will be more than happy to do that for you.

Q: Why are some of your covers not available as sheet music?
A: I have not been able to get permission to sell the sheet music for many of my covers. However, my team is currently working with Hal Leonard to create a book that will be available for purchase online and in stores. It’s been a long process, but I am hoping to make it happen soon!

Q: Do you have a physical CD?
A: Yes! You can get it HERE or on Amazon.com
You can also get my itunes album HERE or HQ digital files HERE
#12
Q: Can I buy your music from somewhere other than itunes?
A: Yes, you can buy most of the mp3s individually HERE on my website: I am not licensed to sell some of my covers/collaboration projects here, but they should be available on itunes. I am not licensed to sell “On the Floor Take Three,” “Lord of the Rings,” or “River Flows in You” at all.

Q: What kind of Violin do you play? What other equipment do you use?
A: I play a Roth Violin from Robert Cauer Violins in Hollywood, California. You can view their contact information HERE. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and they ship to all over the world. I use dominant strings. Many of the violins and bows I use in my videos are “stunt” violins (I purchased my cheapest violin for $40. Her name is Ingrid). I own a Lois and Clark carbon fiber violin that I love! As for my Yamaha electric violin, I occasionally resurrect it to film for my videos, but I certainly never perform with it. I wouldn’t recommend buying one. Rather, I use an LR Baggs pickup (Non-Terminated). I have tried many different pickups and this one has been by far the best.

Q: What does stomponlindsey mean?
A: “Stomp on Lindsey” has several different meanings: 1) Stomp On Melvin was the name of the first band I played with (click HERE for a CD we made together). 2) I love to dance. 3) The name reminds me that I CAN be happy and fulfill my dreams, no matter how much life tries to get me down.

Q: What are your favorite videos games?
A: I honestly don’t have much time for them anymore, but I LOVE the music (obviously). Growing up, my favorite video games were Mario Kart and Donkey Kong. And of course, Zelda was one I definitely grew up with because I had friends who played it a lot. (: Occasionally I like to play “Just Dance,” as you can see HERE.

Q: Who are your musical inspirations?
A: I was classically trained, so I think this has played a huge part in molding me as a musician. I really like David Garrett, and I loved Vanessa Mae, Bond, and Barrage growing up, and I always wanted to learn how to fiddle. I also greatly admire Michael Jackson not only as a musician, but a dancer!

Q: Where are most of your videos filmed?
A: I have filmed in Africa, Colorado, Los Angeles, New York, etc., but most of my videos are shot within 20 minutes of my house…in Utah!

Q: How did you learn to sing and dance? Did you have lessons growing up?
A: As I child I would watch figure skating, dancing movies like That’s Dancing, Michael Jackson music videos, and then I would practiced by mimicking their moves. Later on, I took dance lessons via YouTube videos lol. I never had “real” dance or singing lessons. HERE is a video of my first ever REAL dance lesson.

Q: What is your family like?
A: I have some good stories on my BLOG! My parents are Stephen and Diane Stirling. My dad was a freelance writer, but later became a seminary teacher. My mother sacrificed many of the finer things in life so that she could be a stay-at-home mom. I owe EVERYTHING to them. I was the middle child until my two youngest siblings were adopted. Vova and Marina joined us when they were sixteen. The came from the same orphanage but are not blood-related. People ask me all the time whether it feels like they are foreign exchange students living at our house, and I always say, “No…they feel like my brother and sister!” I really can’t see our family without them. My youngest biological sister, Brooke, is the same age as Vova and Marina (you can imagine the drama we had at our house with three sixteen-year-olds!) Brooke plays the cello. My oldest sister, Jennifer, plays the trumpet. She is the mother of my two cute nephews, Stephen and Jaron.
HERE is a gift from the whole family
